Pelvic pain
Pathology such as prolapse, fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, and chronic infection can cause pelvic pain. It is important that these conditions as assessed to be excluded as a cause for pelvic pain.
However, many types of pelvic pain can’t be diagnosed with blood tests or scans, and it’s easy for women with this problem to suffer pain for years before finding the help they need.
Dr Felicity Gould is a practicing Gynaecologist and a fellow of the Royal Australian and NewZealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She understands the impact of pelvic pain on women and their lives. Felicity treats patients with chronic pelvic pain collaboratively with pain management physicians and physiotherapists to ensure they women get the best care available.
